Childhood/Teenage Celebrity Crushes

I'm sitting around listening to music and one of my favorite songs from back in my high school days and I start reminiscing, remembering the fun I used to have...how carefree I was. I also remembered how the singer of the band whose songs I once adored, I had a crush on. Along with the real-life crushes I used to have, they've all faded. It's just so funny to look back at how silly and obsessive I used to be, like many girls, when they're growing up. Here's a couple pictures of my childhood and teenage celebrity crushes. From age 11-13, I had a serious crush on JC because I was a HUGE fan of NSYNC(lame, I know but I can admit it!). Only God knows why I found him attractive...he's so barfworthy these days.

Had a gigantic crush on Sonny Sandoval from P.O.D from 15-17. I used to really love the band, even more than NSYNC but once they started making crappy music and had too much band drama, it faded. When I see Jason Castro, he reminds me of a emo version of Sonny, minus the tattoos of course.

I didn't have any crushes as I kid, I have a couple now. Men who are much older than myself, like Christian Bale and Jason Statham.

Prince William was hot. Now Harry is the hottie. Crazy.

Older guys can be so attractive. The only so-called crush I have these days is Ryan Gosling. I find a few other celebs to be attractive but wouldn't call it a crush. Most, if not all, of my crushes were when I was in high school.

Yep, Prince William.

I loved Antonio Sabato Jr. for about 5 minutes. And I adored (and still do): Christian Bale and Johnny Depp.

A whole bunch of Taiwanese and Hong Kong TV and movie stars.

I'm sure there were so many more, but it's been a while for me. I wonder who all I've forgotten?

Johnny Depp. *sigh* He's in a league of his own.

I find a few celebs to be attractive but I'd hardly call them crushes. In fact, I hate the word 'crush'.

I think I have aesthetic crushes, if that's a good term to use. Meaning that there are celebrities--male and female--I really enjoy watching and looking at, but that's as far as it really ever goes with me: I've no desire to meet them, talk to them, touch them, have relationships with them, or anything like that. I just like looking at them.

Of course, when I was a teenager, it was different

I agree, Jude. My crushes, too, are aesthetic. Although if I ever met Ryan, I'd be a bumbling idiot. Unlike when I was a teenager, I don't have fantasies about being with these people. They're just nice to look at.

justin timberlake. i actually schemed to try to figure out how i could make him mine. i really thought it would happen. i was so worked up over him that my heart hurt when i thought about it. and, of course, i totally wanted to kill britney when they were together. hahhaha. so pathetic.

Today I got a POD newsletter in my inbox and it said that they were playing at CityWalk tonight. It was only $10. I would have gone. I don't like their new sh*t but still respect the old sh*t and even though I don't like 'em anymore..I would have liked to have seen Sonny up close. I'm not crushing on him anymore though. Meh. I just always wanted to go to one of their concerts back when I was a fan. Oh, the good ol' carefree days...they're long gone.

Well, it was really stupid of them to send the newsletter then. I had class tonight anyway. Haha...old flame!

I did I ever tell you that when I was 12, I had a JUSTIN bracelet? Darn, I wish I still had it. I got it from Claire's! Haha, I never had a crush in Justin, it was JC but I couldn't find a JC bracelet so I just took what I could get!
